Word Art is really popular at the moment and can come with a high price tag, but if you are looking for a unique gift that is kind to your bank balance it is fairly easy to create your own Word Art! 

You can create simple Word Art using anything from Microsoft Word, Paintshop, or Photo Editing software, pretty much anything that enables you to type different style fonts in different colours will work.

For this example I am using Photoshop CS4 but the idea is the same with most software you could use to do this.

The first step is to open a new blank document at the size you would like your final Word Art to be. 

Here I am using a 10" x 10" square.

The next step is to think about what words you would like to have on your canvas. Things to consider are who is the canvas for? What is the occasion? What colours would you like to use?

You also need to think about how you would like to place the words on the canvas.
For this example I am going to use the text 'I love you more than chocolate' as this will make a perfect Valentines card!

Once you have decided on the colours and words begin by selecting the text tool from the left hand tool bar and place the first part of your text on your blank canvas. 
Play around with different font styles until you have found one you are happy with.

Carry on adding the rest of your text and change the colour and even font style if you wish.

Once all the text has been placed on the canvas you can play around with it until you are completely happy with the spacing and overall look. 

Your completed Word Art can be printed and framed, or used for a greetings card - whatever you like!
